​Under Mayor Duke Bennett's leadership, we've gone from deficit budgets to having eight straight years of balanced budgets, and a cash surplus. We've funded our priorities while streamlining government, spending wisely, and keeping taxes low. 

JOB GROWTH 

Duke knows quality jobs are the backbone of our community, and he works tirelessly to attract new businesses to our city, incentivizing more opportunities and better wages. Economic Development is a cornerstone to success, and Duke has led the charge for our Convention Center, Casino, and numerous manufacturing plants and other businesses. 

PUBLIC SAFETY

Nothing is more important to Duke than the safety of our families. We continue to make major investments in public safety, increasing salaries for police and firefighters, providing new state of the art equipment and facilities, and always standing with those who serve and protect. 

QUALITY OF LIFE

Terre Haute used to be a drive-thru town, but duke is making it a destination for families, businesses, and tourists alike. Our parks, hiking trails and bike trails rank among the best in the country, our infrastructure is being improved, and new housing development will bring responsible population growth. Our quality of life continues to improve and over the next four years it will be even better!
